Energica Experia

Experia is a new no-emission Green Tourer motorcycle purpose-built to let any rider travel in an environmentally-friendly way to the ends of our now-known world. Experia also aptly denotes the deep expertise we’ve acquired during a decade of racing, design and manufacturing in the field of electric technology.

Battery capacity has increased, yet has a lower weight, plus a centralized, lower center of gravity allows for better low-speed rideability. The redesigned PMASynRM motor is also lighter, with less mass, and is positioned lower than in our other models.

Voluminous hard side panniers and top case have a total capacity of 112 liters. There are two USB ports on the dash and two more in a waterproof storage compartment which is lockable and large enough to hold traveling charging cables, or a rainsuit or pair of gloves.

Energica Ego

Still the world’s most powerful and advanced electric motorcycle that gives IC liter bikes a run for their money. Without emissions.

In 2018 Dorna selected Energica to be single manufacturer for the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup Cup, a role the company fulfilled until the end of the 2022 season. These all-electric races at iconic MotoGP circuits all over Europe feature 12 international teams, fielding 18 race pilots on identically prepared EGO Corsa racing machines. As a result, we have four additional years of intensive technical development at the highest possible level for performance and sophistication of any electric motorcycle in the world.

In 2019 we launched our 21.5 kWh battery platform to the public, adding to our original and unique features of superb power, top speed and DC Fast Charging with the longest range of any electric motorcycle you can buy. The ”RS Version” upped the ante with even better acceleration than ever before.

With the new EMCE motor and inverter we did it again – adding not only power but 10% range at higher speeds, and the 2023 version of the EGO+ will feature an improved 222Nm torque (+7Nm, which translates in an added 35Nm of wheel power).

Energica Eva Ribelle

The Energica EVA Ribelle is the naked version of the Energica EGO+, with the same torque, power, acceleration and range; the only key differences being riding position and top speed.

If you want a true electric hyper-naked, aggressive with an urban mojo, or an assertive-yet-upright riding position instead of the typical track day crouch, choose the EVA Ribelle. But like its cousin the EsseEsse9+, the EVA Ribelle easily transforms into a long-distance bike with the simple addition of side panniers, windshield and tank bag. New for 2022 we also offer the EVA Ribelle with the Tricolore fairing and bodywork.

Just like the EGO+, the 2023 version of the Energica EVA Ribelle will boast an improved 222 Nm torque (164 lb-ft), the same 21.5 kWh long-range lithium-ion battery with up to 261 miles of City range, the same suspension and performance options, and all the technological amenities. Not enough? You can opt for the “RS Version” for even more off-the-line, liter-bike beating velocity.

To convince even the most dubious IC skeptics, we’ve now introduced a new EMCE motor and inverter – reducing weight further still while upping to peak 126 kW (171 Hp), with now up to 130 miles in Highway range, plus of course, DC Fast Charging. EMCE is standard for both versions of the EVA Ribelle.

Energica EsseEsse9

The Energica EsseEsse9+ shares the technology and sophistication of the EGO+ and the EVA Ribelle but is made more suitable for casual riding without the demanding hyper-performance of the other two models. The retro-style bench seat and relaxed riding position make the EsseEsse9+ ideal for two-up riding and it’s the preferred choice for long-distance electric wanderers the world over.

Like all our motorcycles, the EsseEsse9+ has an exclusive feature: all three charging options – Slow Charge Mode 2 or 3 and DC Fast Charge Mode 4, all provided as standard. With our EMCE technology this means the longest range of any electric motorcycle: 261 miles of city range, 160 miles of combined city and highway range, and 130 miles of extra urban riding. If you want even more acceleration, select the RS Version.

Energica motorcycles can be recharged outdoors at public charging stations or at home. Thanks to the Slow Charge Mode 2 or 3, you can recharge 0,66 miles every minute. The Fast Charge DCFC Mode 4 mode, on the other hand, charges Energica motorcycles 4,16 miles every minute – more quickly than any other electric motorcycle on the planet.

The EsseEsse9 is the result of over 10 years of 360° innovation in the world of two-wheeled electric. We design not only for the track, but for the real-road conditions of everyday riding. Our objective is to make electric a genuinely practical and enjoyable alternative to the typical IC experience.

History

Origin

Energica Motor Company is an Italian manufacturer of electric motorcycles. The Energica project was started in 2010 in Modena, Italy, by CRP Group, an international company involved in computer numerical control machining and additive manufacturing with advanced selective laser sintering materials. Energica Motor Company was officially founded in 2014 with the aim of creating high-performance sustainable motorcycles.

Name

Energica is, in Italian, the feminine form of the adjective "energetic".

Racing

In 2010 CRP designed and built the eCRP, the electric racing motorcycle. The eCRP 1.0 was presented during the "Cleaner Racing Conference" in Birmingham on January 13, 2010.

The eCRP, unlike most other electric racing motorcycles which were usually only a conversion of traditional combustion engines into electric vehicles, was created from the ground up as a real electric racing motorcycle, specifically designed for 100% electrical power.

The eCRP 1.2 was the first competition version of the electric motorcycle made in CRP. On October 2 and 3 2010, the eCRP 1.2 competed at Brands Hatch and won the title of European Champion TTXGP 2010. The team went on the podium at the World Final Albacete, taking second place. In 2011 CRP developed a new version of the Italian electric racing motorcycle, the eCRP 1.4. The use of Additive Manufacturing and the innovative materials of the Windform product line represented a crucial stage in the construction of the electric racing motorcycle, carried out in collaboration with CRP Technology. The chassis of the electric racing motorcycle eCRP 1.4 featured a cast aluminum frame, welded aluminum swingarm and racing suspension.

After two years of racing, the eCRP team started working on the road version: Energica.

Model history

In 2012 CRP presented at EICMA the running prototype of Energica and in 2013 launched the first model Ego.

In April 2014, Ego45, the numbered luxury edition of Energica Ego, was displayed at Top Marques, Monte-Carlo. In November 2014 CRP presented at EICMA the birth of Energica Motor Company S.p.A. and Energica Motor Company Inc., the US division.

That same year at EICMA, the new born company displayed the second model, Energica Eva. The Eva shared the same electric powertrain and chassis as the Ego with the motor limited to 80 kW of power and top speed limited to 200 km/h. The electric streetfighter was displayed alongside three Energica Ego configurations: Matte Pearl White, Matte Black and Energica Ego45 Carbon.

In 2016, delivery of the Eva began to customers. For MY2017, the power of the Ego was increased to 107 kW.

In 2017, Energica introduced its third model, the Eva EsseEsse9, with an "old school" design and more relaxed riding position, again sharing the powertrain and chassis as the Ego with the same power limits as the Eva. The Eva was also given a 107 kW version, known as the Eva 107, featuring the full 107 kW output of the Ego powertrain, electronically limited to a top speed of 200 km/h.

In 2018, Energica updated all its models with traction control, cruise control, and heated grips and increased the precision of its ride-by-wire throttles. Additional software improvements were introduced for current and previous models including user-definable charge interruption, a fanless "silent charging" mode, and up to 15% lower DC fast charge times.

In 2019, the Eva EsseEsse9+ and Ego+ were introduced, increasing battery capacity for the first time to 18.9 kW⋅h (nominal; max 21.5 kW⋅h), and increasing torque (200 Nm and 215 Nm respectively). The + models are 5% lighter than their standard versions with 60% more claimed range. Additionally, the Eva was superseded by the Eva Ribelle, sharing the same battery, torque, and power as the Ego+ with a top speed limited to 200 km/h.

In 2020, performance-oriented RS variants of the Ego+, Eva Ribelle, and Eva EsseEsse9+ were introduced with improved acceleration.

In 2022, the Experia touring motorbike was released. This model features a new 22.5KwHr maximum (19.6KwHr nominal) battery, capable of 240 km touring and 400 km town range. While the 80 kW motor is less than the Ego and Eva models, and has a reduced top speed of 180 km/h, it is lighter and is positioned lower than in the other models.
